Ascension

Okay, I guess I should say a little more about this cover. The subject is Kali, a deity of the Hindu religion. The name and the mythology play into the plot of the novel, Ascension.

Ascension: Book Two of the Elohim Trilogy will go on sale on November 2, 2020, less than a month away. I just published The Wizards, which is an story fits nicely between Absolution Redux and Ascension

This is a temporary cover. I had a change of heart about the others. I am allowed to do that. ๐Ÿคจ

Looking Back and Forward

I will be done with the Elohim trilogy ten years after I first started. That's the plan: Be poetic about it. In October, I will publish The Wizards and in November, I will publish Ascension. Apotheosis is proving to be a difficult book, but no more difficult than The Wizards Collide

I have also been looking at all the posts on this blog. I'm still unable to get back into it, for whatever reason, which is fine. It will serve its purpose. In 2011, I needed a place to post my thoughts, to make a half-assed attempt at doing what other writers do. I'm not very good at these things. My Facebook got hacked--can't get that back, ever. As for building a following here? Ha. Haha.

I just don't want to be bothered with any of it. Why should I? To sell books?

My fingers hurt from writing. I have been at it non-stop since the start of the pandemic. It's sad, but I caught up on my work! That's how much free time I have. And I discovered that I don't like to work (the wage-paying type of work). The pandemic has given me a glimpse of what it would be like to do writing full time. All the time. I was able to even pen the sequel to The Wizards, The Wizards Collide. It's a rough draft I will revise in the near future. Since, you know, I have nothing else to do. Ha. Haha.

But the future calls. It wants its joke back. If you don't get that joke, I feel sorry for you because you missed out on the 90s. Anyway, if I'm trying to say anything, it's that I'm going to give it a go again. This isn't 2011, it's 2020. A whole new world. Back when I first started, all I wanted to do was experiment. Well, the experiment ended and I got bored. Now, I just want to kill the silence. It's boring here. And maybe that is motivating me to do these things.

Absolution Redux is out there now. The original Absolution is gone forever. The Wizards will be out there in a few more weeks.

Work also calls. The real wage-paying kind. As I look for ways to advertise my work to a greater audience, I will begin a new path. One that I haven't particularly wanted to go down. The Universe, she has ideas. And you can only procrastinate for so long. I have like five books worked and ready.

What am I waiting for?

I already grew the beard, like every serious author has. Ha. Haha.

"a flowing beard, which he deemed the most noble corporeal badge of the man, not to speak of the illustrious author..." Melville.

2020

 Okay...

Well...

As you know, there's a pandemic going on. I am still alive--I hope you weren't hoping I was dead and gone. No. Not yet. Always bet on black. The Post Man always rings twice. Or is it death?

I don't know. I've been gone for six years, from the blog, not life. And it does feel like everything is dusty. For one thing, I had to find a back door to my blog. Google won't acknowledge it anymore! How hilarious! But the good thing is that I broke the window and got in.

Not that it helps me much. I mean, eventually, they will kick me out. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป‍♂️

Oh, I can add emojis now. ๐Ÿ˜ And let me tell you, it's a welcome relief since it's hot and most of California is ๐Ÿ”ฅ (not the Clippers).

As for the small business of publishing. I had some time to finish out my stories. Some of them. Not all. And I'm ready to reintroduce some.

The first thing I did was remove Absolution from the market. It is now gone. Replacing it is Absolution Redux, which is a fresh take on the old story. It's not really a do-over. It's more of a necessary revamping.

As the old story went, at the very end (spoiler alert!) the bad guy did things in Time and changed everything. Everything is different. Well, no, but the curtains changed color and the walls have a new coat of paint. Oh, don't be mad. When you saw Apocalypse Now Redux, you weren't really expecting a new movie were you? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway... Redux is now on sale. And I have to figure out how these buttons work again. But I wanted to publish this one thing to remind you that the world is ending. And yes, I am still alive.

Imagine that!
